March is one of our favorite months of the year here at Ozobot because we get to celebrate Women’s History Month! It’s a great time to reflect on the accomplishments of women in general, but we also love highlighting the women and girls represented in technology, showing the world that STEM is for everyone.
For our favorite OzoThings roundup this month, it was a no-brainer for us to spotlight some awesome activities we’ve seen on Twitter featuring girl creators. Way to represent!
Speeding Through Tunnels
We love the colorful tunnels that this student, Mollie, made for her Ozobot Evo to speed through. In this lesson, students had to pick 3 Color Codes for their bot to change speed and direction while going through a tunnel they created. Thank you for sharing, Cascade Christian Schools!
Coding For All Ages
Renee Perry, one of our Ozobot Certified Educators, shared these photos of her young kids creating with Ozobots! With Color Codes, our screen-free coding method using markers and paper, even the littlest of learners can grasp basic coding concepts. We especially love their colorful track! Way to go!
Adventure Stories
Technology Specialist, Christopher Blais, shared these photos of adventure stories that his four-year-old created with their Ozobot. We love the imagination and creativity behind these tales, including a superhero, ballet bot, and a crocodile pit. The best part is definitely the costumes! Dressing up Ozobots is always so much fun!
Code Your Name!
We just adore this video of sweet four-year-old Opal. She used our PreReader level in OzoBlockly to program a square, and then a diamond. With the help of her mom, Marcie Shea, she was then able to code her name, still using the PreReader level! Incredibly impressive!
