This March, our lessons celebrate innovation, nature, and the changing seasons. From exploring World Wildlife Day and guiding Evo through migratory journeys, to honoring Women’s History Month and even coding festive St. Patrick’s Day adventures, students will dive into spring-themed activities that bring the season and STEM learning to life.

Girls Innovating Change
In celebration of International Women’s Day, students will learn about Gitanjali Rao and how she used science and technology to solve real world problems. Then they use Ozobot to design their own ideas for positive change and discover that innovation has no age limit.
Grades: 2-6
Subjects: Science, Social Studies, Computer Science, Engineering/Tech, SEL/Digital Citizenship
Academic Standards: CSTA, ISTE, NGSS

Follow the Rainbow
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a colorful coding adventure. Students will use Ozobot Blockly to program their bot to follow the rainbow and reach the pot of gold while strengthening sequencing and problem solving skills.
Grades: K-2
Subjects: Engineering/Tech, SEL/Digital Citizenship
Academic Standards: CSTA, ISTE
Who Can Find the Pot of Gold?
Can you break the code to find the pot of gold? In this St. Patrick’s Day challenge, students use Ozobot Blockly and line following sensors to crack the code and uncover the hidden treasure.
Grades: 3-5
Subjects: Computer Science, Engineering/Tech
Academic Standards: CSTA, ISTE

Trash Sorter
Turn recycling into a hands-on engineering challenge! Working collaboratively, students will design and build pathways using recycled paper and 3D printed components to program Evo to sort trash into the correct collection bins. This lesson promotes teamwork and sustainability awareness through real world coding applications.
Grades: K-8
Subjects: Computer Science, Engineering/Tech
Academic Standards: CSTA

The Spring Migration
Each spring, billions of birds migrate north in search of food and nesting grounds. In this interactive lesson, students guide their Ozobots on a migration journey, using Color Codes to control speed and special movements while modeling real world bird migration patterns.
Grades: K-2
Subjects: Science, Computer Science, Engineering/Tech
Academic Standards: NGSS, ISTE, CSTA

Whale Fall Cycle
Explore the fascinating deep-sea ecosystem that forms when a whale sinks to the ocean floor. Students will program Ari to represent each stage of the whale fall cycle, using Color Codes and sequencing language to model this unique process.
Grades: 2-3
Subjects: Social Studies, Computer Science
Academic Standards: CSTA, NGSS

Get Ready for School
Help Ari start the day on time! Students will use Color Codes to program Ari through a morning routine while practicing key math skills like reading analog clocks and writing digital time. When Ari successfully reaches school, students celebrate both their coding and time-telling achievements.
Grades: 1-2
Subjects: Math, Science, Computer Science, Engineering/Tech
Academic Standards: CSTA, ISTE
