Pumpkin spice season is upon us! The leaves are changing colors, the weather is getting cooler, and before we know it, the holiday season will be approaching. This whole year has been a whirlwind of change, so the Autumnal Equinox may not be top of mind at the moment, but let’s “fall” back in love with this season with these fun fall-themed OzoThings.
Evo Gets Batty
Who says you can’t learn coding concepts and ELA at the same time? We love this ISTE standards-aligned Stellaluna lesson for grades 2 and 3 by Innovators Lab for Kids! Students read the story, then use Ozobots to retell it while going through the design process to create and refine an algorithm.
Happy Fall Y’all
This cute scarecrow color-by-number combines coding with art, and we love it! Mrs. Rebolloso’s first graders had a blast being introduced to Ozobot by coloring their pictures and adding Color Codes for their bot to execute around it.
Fallen Leaves Prompt
Last year, we put out a creative prompt on our social media channels encouraging our followers to hunt for fallen leaves and trace them with colored markers. After tracing, it made a perfect little fall-themed track for Evo. We were so thrilled when we saw the amount of participants and the engagement from students with this fun activity! These ones are from Mr. Wigmore’s third graders!
Fall Sorting Fun
Mrs. Campora’s first grade class started the season off right with a fall-themed sorting activity, with a coding twist! The students were tasked to sort non-fall items from fall items, using Ozobots to code their way through the path!!
Be sure to tag us in your Ozobot creations, new and old, to be featured next month! Just tag us @ozobot and/or #OzoSquad! We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
