Happy holidays, OzoSquad! The most wonderful time of the year has arrived, and we are so excited to share our favorite holiday-themed OzoThings with you! We wish you all a happy new year and hope you will get inspired by these educator-shared ideas for next year!
Color Code Menorah
6th graders at Bishop Feild School tried out the Menorah lighting Color Code lesson that we shared on the OzoBlog a couple weeks ago. Way to go, students! They all look amazing!
Oh, Christmas Tree
Decorating a Christmas tree has never been more fun, now that Bit is a part of Ms. Weseman’s classroom! Check out one of her students demonstrating Bit climbing up her decorated tree. Beautiful!
Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree
@JK22460085’s class of 6th graders used OzoBlockly to program their Evos to dance to the popular holiday song “Rocking Around the Christmas Tree.” We love the winter scene backdrop and the choreography is fantastic!
Run, Run, As Fast As You Can
Students at Paul Rogers Elementary School created cute little gingerbread girls and boys to put atop their Ozobots. Then, they used Color Codes to send their gingerbread bots on an adventure. Way to go, students!
Gingerbread Fun
Have you ever thought to attach finger lights onto your Ozobot? Well, @BenginiaT’s second graders did just that! After participating in a gingerbread house contest, they attached finger lights to their bots and made them dance along to some festive music!
The Story of Christmas
We are all familiar with the nativity scene of Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus in the manger. It is a popular image during the Christmas season. Mrs. Swan’s 6th grade class decided to put a modern take on this scene, using their Bits! Check out this modern day nativity story they created with Color Codes. So creative!
Jingle All The Way
Not many educators are familiar with our music feature in OzoBlockly, so it makes our day when we see teachers share musical compositions they’ve created for Evo. Mr. Adel’s students made a winter wonderland scene featuring Peanuts characters and Evo singing “Jingle Bells.” SO cool!
Holiday Traditions
Second graders in Cindy Gonzalez’s class have been learning about different holidays including Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Chinese New Year, and more. They read books about each holiday, then created a map for Bit to travel through. Such a cute idea!
We’ll see you next year, OzoSquad! In January, we will feature our next round up of favorite OzoThings! Be sure to tag us in your Ozobot creations, new and old, to be featured next month! Just tag us @Ozobot and/or #OzoSquad! We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
